I am the junior class writing and critical thinking instructor for Minds Matter Los Angeles. Minds Matter Los Angeles is a three-year program preparing students from under-served communities to enter and succeed at four year colleges directly from high school. I develop and teach a curriculum that includes challenging texts and weekly writing exercises. The curriculum introduces students to essays and stories of diverse contemporary writers, encouraging the students to explore their personal experiences through writing.
